Playful Thoughts The bubble painting entitled, “Playful Thoughts,” is my latest and most successful attempt to paint and capture the intriguing qualities of a bubble. Bubbles are so delicate that one hardly has time to see the swirls, colors, and reflections in them before they fade away and burst. My goal was to preserve their beauty for closer inspection. My nephew provided the perfect model and pose as the hooded bubble-blowing kid. His arm is raised and his lips are puckered to provide necessary life for the bubbles. Seated comfortably in his big chair, he enjoys the show of changing colors and shapes.
