Gentle Stream
The painting entitled, Gentle Stream, was begun during a brief visit to see a friend in Virginia. I spent two days at the spot the painting represents. I studied and painted light, color, rocks, and water from life. I finished the painting from reference photos I had taken. I am intrigued by the water bubbling from beneath the surface after it has plunged over the edge of the rocks. |
